The suspects nearly struck an officer, later abandoned their vehicle, and remain at large as Avon police ask the public for tips.
   

• Here's who won the 'A Home for the Holidays' raffle (news5cleveland.com) — Westlake High School is among several area schools offering a state-approved construction pre-apprenticeship program funded by the Home Builders Association’s charitable foundation. That same foundation partnered with Make-A-Wish to raffle off an $850,000 Richfield home, which was just won by a Uniontown resident, with ticket proceeds supporting both youth trades training and wishes for children.
