Thieves Cut 5 Catalytic Converters Off Trucks In Westlake: Police
Police have surveillance footage from the areas and are collecting evidence connected to the crimes.
WESTLAKE, OH β Thieves stole five catalytic converters from trucks parked in Westlake last week, according to police.
Between March 21 and March 23, Westlake police received multiple reports of stolen catalytic converters, a department spokesperson told Patch. Two trucks parked in the 24000 block of Detroit Road were hit, and three vehicles in the 26000 block of First Street were also targeted.
Surveillance footage of the areas shows a silver Nissan Rogue cruising down those streets at the time of the thefts, police said. Investigators are still collecting evidence from the crimes.

Westlake police are currently working with local business owners to determine their property layout and to educate them on the best practices to secure their lots and vehicles, the department spokesperson added.
