WATCH: Crocker Park Explosion Rocks Westlake

A propane fire led to an explosion Thursday morning at Crocker Park in Westlake.

WESTLAKE, OH β€” A propane tank fire turned into a huge explosion Thursday morning at Crocker Park, sending flames into the sky and rocking the buildings up to a mile away.

Several videos from the scene showed the massive explosion after a fire burned for a few seconds. Firefighters, workers and passersby scrambled as the steady gas fire gave way to the blast.

The propane fire had been put out, but it was not clear if buildings in the vicinity were still on fire, a Westlake Fire Department dispatcher told Patch, adding that she was not aware of any injuries.
