Westlake Police Ask for Help Identifying Credit Card Thieves

Thieves stole a woman's wallet at Crocker Park then went on a shopping spree, see surveillance photo of suspects from the Avon Target store.

The Westlake Police Department is asking for help identifying suspects involved in a pickpocketing and credit card fraudΒ incident that occurred last weekend.

An Avon Lake woman, while at Bar LouieΒ in Crocker ParkΒ had her wallet taken from herΒ purse sometime between 5 p.m.Β and 5:45 p.m.Β on Saturday, June 11.Β The thieves then attempted to useΒ herΒ creditΒ cards to go on a shopping spree.

Multiple attempts were made to use her debit card without success, however, the thieves were successful in purchasingΒ $4,000 in gift cards from the Avon Target store according police reports.
