1. Oklahoma shelter urges public to help identify elderly man and his missing family (news9.com) — Staff at Lawton’s C. Carter Crane Center are asking the public’s help to identify an elderly man, Hoon Chang, who has memory issues and only faint details about his family. After a possible workplace accident and hospital stay, he’s been at the shelter for weeks, and local advocates hope someone with Korean language skills or family knowledge can help reunite him with loved ones.
   

2. Lawton seniors to get emergency food aid for 2025 holidays (texomashomepage.com) — Lawton seniors facing tight budgets this coming holiday season will see extra help thanks to a $10,000 McMahon Foundation grant to the Center for Creative Living. The funding will provide supplemental groceries and emergency food boxes for older adults in crisis, strengthening the Center’s long-running efforts to fight hunger and isolation among residents 55 and older.
   

3. Bishop Public School holds annual Christmas basket giveaway dinner (kswo.com) — Lawton’s Bishop Public School just hosted its annual Christmas Basket Giveaway Dinner, providing a dozen baskets to local families in need. Supported by members of Prince Hall Lodge, the event focused on connecting with parents and students while spreading holiday cheer and reinforcing community support.
   

4. Picogrid announces $500,000 partnership with Cameron University (kswo.com) — A new $500,000 partnership between defense tech firm Picogrid and Cameron University will bring cutting-edge autonomous systems research and student jobs directly to FISTA Innovation Park in Lawton. University and FISTA leaders say the record-setting corporate deal will expand career pathways in high-demand defense technology fields while strengthening the Lawton–Fort Sill economy and talent pipeline.
   

5. Land Commission's data center decision delay frustrates Governor (okenergytoday.com) — State officials are still delaying a final decision on leasing 338 acres of state-owned land on Lawton’s east side for a proposed data center, and Gov. Kevin Stitt says he’s frustrated by the holdup. The winning bidder, Boomtown Manufacturing LLC, has been waiting since April while commissioners debate transparency for nearby residents and whether the land should be sold instead of leased.
