- A former professor at the University of Oklahoma is facing more than 100 charges after he allegedly placed a hidden camera in a girl’s bedroom. Investigators arrested Allan Wiechmann after the mother of the 14-year-old girl discovered the camera in her daughter's bedroom last year. Wiechmann has been charged with 20 counts of attempted indecent or lewd acts with a child under 16, 37 counts of indecent or lewd acts with a child, and 72 counts of manufacturing child pornography. - An Oklahoma City woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing $13,000 from two seniors in Oklahoma County. Authorities say Shaniqwa Owens posed as a home health care employee and tricked the victims into giving her the money. Owens also stole one victim’s food stamp cards and spent approximately $1,100 at three stores in the metro. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
- The Oklahoma City Zoo announced that it had set new December and yearly attendance records in 2021. Zoo officials reported that the zoo had seen 1,088,599 visitors in the entire year, and 115,028 visitors in December alone. The zoo credits December's increase to the unusually mild December temperatures and the OKC Zoo Safari Lights exhibit. (KOKH FOX25)
