- A 3-year-old boy has died after accidentally shooting himself in the face over the weekend.
Police say the boy accidentally shot himself Saturday morning at his babysitter's apartment near Southwest 74th Street and South Western Avenue. Someone inside the apartment told police that the boy likely found the gun under a bed, but officers could not find the gun when they arrived on the scene. (KOCO Oklahoma City) - Area police officers have stepped into classrooms to help Moore Public Schools as the district faces teacher and staff shortages exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Authorities said two officers covered sixth-grade classes at Apple Creek Elementary Schools. Additional officers also served at Houchin and Broadmoore elementary schools. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
- The Oklahoma City Council on Tuesday approved a master development agreement for the construction and development of the MAPS 4 Innovation Hall. Construction on the project is set to begin this spring and is expected to create jobs and encourage more diversification of the local economy. Activities at Innovation Hall could include learning academies, entrepreneurship meetings and events, and pop-up spaces. (Journal Record)
