  1. Officials are conducting a possible arson investigation after an automatic alarm sounded at Coolidge Elementary School on Monday evening. Crews were able to put out the fire but requested an arson investigator at the scene. According to Oklahoma City Public Schools, only one classroom was impacted by the fire. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
  2. A detainee at the Oklahoma County Detention Center has died after being found “unresponsive” by a detention officer and a nursing assistant on Monday morning. The staff members discovered the detainee, Winfred Lowe, in his cell during their routine medication passing. Lowe is the second detainee at the jail to have been discovered unresponsive in 2022.   3. Members of the Beta Sigma Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority spent Martin Luther King, Jr. Day preparing survival kits for Oklahoma City's homeless population. The volunteers put together a total of 250 survival kits that included socks, toothbrushes, soap, and other necessities. The kits were delivered to Upward Transitions, Homeless Alliance, and Positive Tomorrows on Monday. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
