Here are the top three stories in Oklahoma City today:

  1. A local Family Dollar in Oklahoma City was robbed on Thursday, but the suspect was caught quickly afterward. One of the store's employees sprung into action as they chased the robber throughout the neighborhood until police arrived. The suspect was arrested by police and is now booked into Oklahoma County Detention Center. (KOCO)
  2. During the early morning hours, severe storms swept through Oklahoma City bringing many flooded roadways and wind damage on Sunday. According to local storm trackers, several thousand Oklahomans were without power for a majority of the day and downed power lines filled the streets. The city is still working hard to restore power to nearly 3,000 people. (News9.com)
  3. On Saturday, Jul. 8, a man was shot and killed at a local trailer park in southeast Oklahoma City. Reports of the shooting came in during the evening hours near Southeast 44th Street and once police arrived on the scene, it looked like the victim had possible gunshot wounds on the head and chest. According to law enforcement, it looks like the incident began as an argument between two individuals and believe one of the acquaintances pulled out a gun. (KOCO)
