Open three days a week, the volunteer-run space also does outreach to encampments and plans to add showers and laundry by mid-January. Oklahoma lawmaker proposes bill to eliminate state sales tax on baby diapers (okcfox.com) — An Oklahoma City lawmaker is pushing a bill to remove state sales tax from baby diapers, aiming to ease costs for parents squeezed by inflation. Rep. Emily Gise’s proposal would classify diapers as a basic necessity and offer financial relief to families with young children across Oklahoma.

Lawmakers hold school safety in hearing at Oklahoma State Capitol (okcfox.com) — State lawmakers met at the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City to dig into how to better protect students, from active-shooter training to tools like clear backpacks and weapon detectors.
