Here are the top stories today in Oklahoma City:
- The FBI is investigating following an attempted bank robbery in northwest Oklahoma City. The incident occurred at Bank of America on Northwest Expressway, where witnesses say a suspect passed a note to a teller demanding money but ran away before taking any. The suspect, described as a heavyset man wearing a construction vest and jacket, drove away in a black sedan. (KOKH FOX25)
- Fire crews extinguished a fire that erupted at a treehouse on 16th Street early Tuesday morning. The Oklahoma City Fire Department reported that the fire did not spread to any nearby structures and there were no injuries. At this time, it is not known if anyone lives at the home or what caused the fire. (news9.com KWTV)
- An elementary school teacher from Oklahoma City is competing on the current season of "The Bachelor." The 26-year-old teacher is one of 22 women vying for the affection of Clayton Echard on the popular reality dating show. The next episode of the show airs on Monday, Jan. 10. (Tulsa World)
