Here are the top three stories in Oklahoma City today:
- A Medical Heat Alert was issued for the Oklahoma City area on Wednesday night. The first alert of the year was issued by EMSA after medics responded to a series of five heat-related illness calls in just 24 hours. Residents of the area are reminded to drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol and caffeine, and keep a charged cell phone with them at all times when outdoors. (KOKH FOX25)
- Police are investigating after more than a dozen RVs at an Oklahoma City dealership were targeted for parts. The incident occurred on Jun. 13, when officials say thieves cut through the chain-linked fence at Camping World and stole catalytic converters and other valuable parts from several vehicles. The thefts totaled thousands of dollars in merchandise. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
- An Oklahoma City bakery known for its cakes and doughnuts will close permanently on Jul. 8. Brown's Bakery made the announcement Wednesday, citing owner Billy R. Brown's retirement. The bakery has served the Oklahoma City area for 77 years. (Subscription: Oklahoman.com)
