Here are the top three stories in Oklahoma City today:
- Workers at a Starbucks in Oklahoma City participated in a national strike this past weekend after pride decorations were banned across the state. According to recent reports from the Oklahoma Starbucks Workers United, there are already over 150 stores in the nation striking or planning to strike over the dispute. The popular coffee chain has since responded and has already begun making changes to allow pride decor back into their stores. (KFOR)
- In downtown Oklahoma City, a screen printing business recently opened that's focused on employing individuals who recently moved out of homelessness. The business is known as Curbside Apparel and they provide a variety of different training and educational programs to help these individuals re-enter mainstream employment. This is one of the few programs sponsored by the Homeless Alliance to help people dealing with homeless in the city. (KOKH)
- On Sunday, Jun. 25, Oklahoma City police responded to a shooting that involved a 2-year-old who shot themselves in the leg. According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, they received a call near the Service Road Best Way Inn in the early evening that a child had found a gun and accidentally shot themselves. The boy was immediately rushed to the hospital and is expected to survive with non-life-threatening injuries. (KOCO)

- Positive Tomorrows in Oklahoma City will be introducing a new summer activity in martial specifically for children who are experiencing homelessness. Typically, a martial arts class in the city can cost upwards of $150-200, but these instructors are teaching classes that are completely free. (News9.com)
- Yukon Public Schools will be giving away free books for students. The Book Bus will be located close by at Shedeck Elementary School from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jul. 4 offering a selection of books suitable for all ages and interests. (Yukon Public Schools via Facebook)
