Here are the top three stories today in Oklahoma City:

  1. On Saturday, Jul. 1, the Oklahoma Police Department was called for a reported shooting down the road on NE 23rd Street. Police state that the shooting was due to an altercation that took place in a lounge. As of the time of publication, there is one suspect in custody and one victim that has undergone surgery at a local hospital due to a gunshot wound in the stomach. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
  2. Oklahoma City’s Tinker Air Show reportedly reached capacity after just a few hours of the gates being open to the public. With this return after four years to celebrate the Fourth of July, the popularity that the Air Force Base faced for this event was far more than what was expected. Many individuals had to watch in nearby parking lots; however, some stated that the experience was just as enjoyable. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
  3. On the morning of Saturday, Jul. 1, there was a reported shooting in the Walmart parking lot down the road near SW 79th and Santa Fe. The Oklahoma City Police Department stated that there were no injuries or fatalities due to the incident. There is not much information on motive; however, there are currently two unnamed suspects in custody for the shooting and a pursuit that took place before arrest. (news9.com KWTV)
