OK Grandma Charged After 3-Year-Old's Body Found In Trash: Police
Becky Ann Vreeland was charged with murder after police said they found her granddaughter's body in a trash can, with signs of trauma.
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A grandmother was arrested after police found her 3-year-old granddaughter's body in a trash can Tuesday afternoon at a home in Oklahoma City, according to police.
Becky Ann Vreeland, 61, was booked into Cleveland County Jail early Wednesday and is being charged with first-degree murder and child neglect, jail records show.
The granddaughter's body had "obvious signs of trauma" when police found her at the home, on Southwest 151st Street. The child had recently been in the care of Vreeland, according to police.
