Here are the top three stories in Oklahoma City today:

  1. More than 200 Oklahoma City students were able to attend OKC Broadway and view the musical Hamilton on May 25, thanks to a gift from Paycom Software. Students of all ages from Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School, Millwood Public Schools, the Latino Community Development Agency, the Alpha Community Foundation, and Upstage Theatre were able to attend the matinee and experience a different level of art and excellence that has entertained for decades. Paycom has been a sponsor of OKC Broadway for the past four years, playing a part in numerous shows and tours making their way to Civic Center Music Hall. (Journal Record)
  2. Apollo 13 astronaut Fred Haise will be visiting the Science Museum Oklahoma on Saturday, Jun. 17 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. for a Q&A and book signing. Haise will be signing his book "Never Panic Early," which was co-authored by Oklahoma City's very own Bill Moore, as well as sharing his experiences with the challenging space voyage back in 1970. The Q&A and book signing is open to those who got general admission to the museum, but space will be limited and only 250 books will be signed. For those interested, VIP tickets are available and can be purchased that will include a meet and greet, a special luncheon, a signed copy of the book, and a reserved spot at the Q&A. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
  3. An Oklahoma City metro CPR training center is responsible for certifying over 3,000 Oklahomans a year and educating them in proper CPR education. CPR is not something that is done daily for most people, so it is important to not only learn the skills but to also stay up-to-date on the training; it is recommended that a refresher class is taken every two years. It takes an ambulance an average of eight minutes to arrive at a scene and the likelihood of survival goes down 10 percent every minute nothing is done. (News On 6)
