  1. The Oklahoma City Fire Department is currently in the market looking for new fire blankets to purchase for fighting car fires. Car fires tend to require a lot of water to extinguish, especially if an electrical car catches fire, and very often especially on highways firefighters only have the water on the truck to fight a fire which is sometimes not enough. Having a good fire blanket will save the amount of water needed to extinguish a flame as well as control the amount of smoke that comes from the fire into the air harming many other civilians. It is important to put a lot of care and consideration into the choice of a new blanket as they can be very expensive and sometimes have very slim usage. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
  2. The search is currently on for the suspect responsible for the shooting and killing of 18-year-old Monterio Andrews this past weekend at a home in northeast Oklahoma City. Police responded to a call around 7:15 p.m. near Northeast 16th Street and Miramar Boulevard surrounding a shooting. The victim was transported to OU Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. No arrests have been made surrounding the incident, and information or details that can be provided for the police will be helpful in the investigation. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
  3. Oklahoma City police officers took an older man into custody over the weekend who refused to stop after being pulled over and led officers on a brief chase. Officers pulled over a man at a traffic stop around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night but he refused to stop and continued to drive away with officers in pursuit. He was eventually stopped and taken into custody after his car blew a tire forcing him to stop, no one was reported injured. It has been reported that the suspect was not under the influence and he was charged with traffic violations, his name was not released to the public at this time. (news9.com KWTV)
