Here are the top three stories in Oklahoma City today:

  1. The Oklahoma City Fire Department reported on Sunday, Jun. 11 there were multiple structure fires near South Eastern Avenue and South East 59th Street. The police and the fire department have not reported any injuries or casualties at this time. It is still unclear what started the fires, and an investigation is underway. (news9.com KWTV)
  2. The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma has received more than 547,277 pounds of food donations as well as $71,194. This big achievement is all due to the National Association of Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive that took place on Saturday, May 13. After community individuals were asked to donate nonperishable items for the drive by leaving them in a bag by their personal mailbox, 373 volunteers provided help to sort out donations at 20 post offices. This is a great step towards feeding the hungry in the Oklahoma City area. (Duncan Banner)
  3. On Saturday, Jun. 10, multiple Target store employees and customers were instructed to evacuate the area after there was a reported bomb threat emailed to local newsrooms. The email referenced the Apr. 19, 1995, deadly Oklahoma City bombing to begin their threat which they called "a game". They stated that two out of the seven targets that they had listed had bombs inside them which included locations, such as 1700 Garth Brooks Blvd, Yukon; 5400 N. May Ave, Oklahoma City; and 720 SW 19th St., Moore. According to police, all Target employees and customers were and still remain unharmed. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
