- Plans to build a medical waste transfer station near Forest Park came to an abrupt halt Tuesday morning. Oklahoma City leaders put a stop to the controversial project after many residents voiced concerns about potential consequences for property values in the area. Officials with the City of Oklahoma say the site does not currently have proper zoning to allow for the construction of the facility. (KOKH FOX25)
- The Oklahoma City Civic Center reopened last week after two years of construction. The grand opening showcased the $17 million in improvements to the center, including new seats in the Little Theatre, a brand new commercial kitchen, and more. Attendees also saw a sneak peek of "The Turn of the Screw," which opens at the theatre on Sep. 29. (Oklahoman.com)
- Police are investigating a Monday night car crash that left one person dead and another hospitalized. The incident occurred near Lake Overholser, where officials say the vehicle's driver took a turn too quickly and crashed. Authorities are still looking into whether alcohol was involved in the incident. (news9.com KWTV)

- The Oklahoma City Metro saw its first Heat Advisory of the season on Tuesday. Officials shared important heat safety tips, including drinking plenty of water, wearing light clothing, and avoiding leaving kids and pets inside cars. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
