1. $3,000 reward for info leading to arrest of Uriel Cazares, wanted for first-degree murder (ktul.com) — Authorities in the Tulsa area are offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of murder suspect Uriel Cazares, with the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office partnering in the search. Investigators say video from Jenks contradicts his claim a woman’s death was accidental, and the victim’s mother is urging anyone with information to contact law enforcement.
   

2. FEMA denies disaster assistance for tornado stricken areas in Oklahoma (kfor.com) — Tulsa County residents hit by recent tornadoes are being told FEMA will not provide individual disaster assistance, after federal officials ruled state and local resources were sufficient. Governor Mary Fallin is now seeking a Small Business Administration disaster declaration for Tulsa and Cleveland counties, which could open low-interest loans to help homeowners, renters, and businesses repair storm damage not covered by insurance.
   

3. United Coalition of Clergy opens annual Christmas Store for Families (fox23.com) — Families in Tulsa can visit the United Coalition of Clergy’s annual Christmas Store, where local pastors help parents personally choose wrapped gifts for their children. Funded by offerings from about 40 area pastors, the effort aims to provide presents for at least 200 underprivileged kids while also supporting families with food programs and other community events.
   

4. Oklahoma legal clash over tribal hunting rights intensifies (ktul.com) — State leaders are clashing over whether Oklahoma can prosecute tribal citizens for hunting and fishing on reservation land, in a dispute originating from Tulsa. The attorney general says such prosecutions are unlawful, while the governor is pushing ahead with a special prosecutor. Tribal leaders and legal experts say treaty rights should protect Native hunters, leaving many in the Tulsa area watching for court action and enforcement changes.
   

5. Cherokee Nation to offer military branch license plates (ktul.com) — Tulsa readers should know the Cherokee Nation is rolling out new specialty license plates in 2026 that honor individual branches of the U.S. military for Cherokee veterans and active-duty members. Announced in Tulsa, the program will let eligible Cherokee citizens across Oklahoma request the no-extra-cost plates at tribal tag offices as their registrations come up for renewal.
