University of Tulsa (TU) Dining is welcoming new team members for the fall semester with personalized job fair experiences.

University of Tulsa (TU) Dining is welcoming new team members for the fall semester with personalized job fair experiences.

On June 27-28, the dining services opened its doors to the Tulsa community at the Reynolds Center to meet potential hires.

The fairs produced an impressive turnout, with applications submitted for nearly all open culinary, front- and back-of-house, and customer service positions.

Emphasizing the University’s “Better Together” philosophy of valuing the wealth of knowledge that a diverse community brings to campus, the dining team used the job fairs to promote a healthy and supportive environment for staff and students.

TU Dining Services created a personalized hiring approach with “You Belong” banners and a one-to-one meet and greet experience that gave attendees a glimpse into the everyday working environment they could expect. Applicants had an opportunity to speak with current employees and ask questions about the open positions.

Director of Creativity Hunter Guretzki is enthusiastic about creating a welcoming experience for anyone looking to take the next step in dining

“We used visuals that showcase our ideals and values,” said Guretzki. “We foster supportive relationships between members of the team and honor everyday staff experiences, looking after their wellness and listening to their input.

Guretzki said they are committed to sourcing socially responsible products that support the local community and provide employees with high quality ingredients to work with.
