3 Men Stabbed, 1 Arrested In Jackson County: OSP
Kevin Reed of North Carolina is accused of stabbing the three men with whom he was traveling on Highway 140 Monday afternoon.

MEDFORD, OR — Oregon State Police on Monday afternoon arrested a man who allegedly stabbed three other men with whom he'd been traveling through Jackson County, according to Oregon State Police. All four men are reportedly from Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Kevin Juwan Reed, 35, was taken to Jackson County Jail and charged with assault. His bail is set at $400,000.
OSP officials said Reed was traveling on Highway 140 W with Antoine Eugene Kirby, 32, Jemario Deronte Richardson, 30, and Marcus Earl Taylor, 34, when just before 1:30 p.m. he stabbed all three men, inflicting multiple injuries. Upon receiving the call OSP troopers and Jackson County deputies were dispatched to where the men pulled over, in the area near mile post 24.

When law enforcement arrived on scene and found the men, Reed was already gone, police said.
Reed was found walking — with no shoes on — about 45 minutes later and 6 miles down the road from where he'd left the three men, police said. He was reportedly arrested without incident.

All three injured men were initially taken to Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, where Kirby and Richardson were reportedly treated and released. Taylor, however, reportedly sustained life-threatening injuries and required a Mercy Flights Air Ambulance ride to Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.
Police said Taylor was still listed in critical condition as of Tuesday afternoon.
As the investigation continues, Oregon State Police ask for any witnesses who may have seen Reed walking down the highway or the white Dodge Caravan with North Carolina plates on Monday afternoon to contact the OSP Southern Regional Dispatch Center at 541-776-6111, and refer to case number SP18-359029.
At this time, it's unclear why the four men were in Oregon.
