Mt. Hood's Cooper Spur Resort To Open This Weekend
A couple feet of new snow in the Cascades ought to make this weekend's snow activities event better around Mt. Hood.

ACROSS OREGON - From Cooper Spur Ski Arena: Cooper Spur Ski Area will open this weekend for skiing and snowboarding.
The ski area will run the Homestead lift and the rope tow from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 24 and 25.
The Nordic Center will also offer two cross country trail loops — about 6 KM of skiing and snow shoeing at Cooper Spur Mt. Resort this weekend.

The resort will open with a 16-inch settled base, that we'll groom down to good coverage.
With more snow in the forecast through the weekend, conditions should be great for this late opening.

This last week’s storm is the first major snow event of the season, and Cooper Spur officials, eager to get the lift turning, are hopeful the current weather pattern of cold temperatures continues to drop snow on the ski area.
Cooper Spur has long been a family favorite offering affordable lift ticket and rental packages.
Lift tickets are just $39 for adults, $32 for juniors 7 to 14 or seniors 65+, and $10 for kids 6 and under.
The rope tow is $12 for adults, $5 for kids 6 & Under.
Cooper Spur also offers a unique carousel amusement ride that pulls kids on inner tubes in a circle.
Cooper Spur offers equipment rentals, lessons and learn to ski and ride packages.
The ski area also has a lodge serving fresh hot food and refreshments, as well as an outdoor covered deck with a view of the entire ski area.
