Oregon Man Who Exploited 300+ Kids Online Gets Prison Time: Police
Police said John DiMolfetto manipulated and exploited children as young as 7 years old over the span of a decade.

LINN COUNTY, OR — An Oregon man was sentenced to serve more than 1,000 months in prison after authorities said he created dozens of personas and used numerous social media accounts to exploit more than 300 children online.
John Anthony DiMolfetto, 39, of Gates, was sentenced on Aug. 8 after he was found guilty of 23 counts of online sexual exploitation of children earlier this month, according to the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
According to authorities, DiMolfetto will serve several sentences at the same time, which means he will ultimately spend 35 years and 10 months in prison.

DiMolfetto was arrested in May 2020 after investigators said he exploited or attempted to manipulate, deceive or exploit more than 300 U.S. children over a span of nearly a decade.
DiMolfetto knew some of his victims, authorities said. Others he met online. His youngest victim was 7 years old, police said.

DiMolfetto is currently being held at the Linn County jail.
