• Baker City man accused of assaulting man in Haines (bakercityherald.com) — A Baker City man was arrested after deputies say he assaulted and strangled a relative in a Haines home, then resisted arrest when contacted later at a Baker City address. Court records show he faces a felony strangulation charge and two misdemeanors, with an arraignment scheduled in Baker County Circuit Court. The alleged victim reported head injuries but chose to seek medical care independently.
