Cedar Mill Residential Fire Damages Garage

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue firefighters got control of the blaze within 30 minutes of the call, officials said.

BEAVERTON, OR — It took Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crews about 30 minutes to knock down a residential fire in Cedar Mill Monday evening. No injuries were reported, and a cause for the fire has not yet been determined.

TVF&R firefighters were dispatched to the 1200-block of Northwest 107th Avenue just after 6:15 p.m. July 9. When crews began arriving at the home 6 minutes later they found a fully engulfed detached garage.

Upgrading the fire to first-alarm, crews got control of the blaze after less than 30 minutes of work.

Damage estimates have not been determined, but TVF&R officials said the fire was confined to the detached garage and surrounding vegetation.
