Angie: Valor turns Apathy into Impact. We are a K-12 Private Christian School with a focus on global competencies and leadership and 21st century skill sets. Our school has a one-2-one model for education equality. For each student who pays tuition in Valor we will sponsor a student in a developing nation into education. Our current sponsor schools are in the Philippines and Haiti.

Angie: Valor is focused on using the world around us as our classroom. We will provide opportunities to address real world problems with innovative sustainable strategies developed by students. We will have a robust intern program which will provide student volunteers throughout a variety of businesses in our community. We have partnered with Living Hope church this summer in harvesting their garden for the local food bank, and plan to enlarge our gardening partnership through our science classes. In addition, all students K-12 will be engaged each trimester in community projects.
Patch: When did you open?
Angie: We launch our first school year on Sept. 6, 2016
Patch: What is the biggest struggle your organization faces?
Angie: Currently, we have a limited time frame to get a lot accomplished. We are eager to have more space and time to see how we may become impactful in meaningful ways in our community. We also look forward to generating a revenue source focused on additional scholarships for local students.
Patch: What do you hope for the future of your school?
Angie: We hope to develop a model for private school education which impacts the world in meaningful ways and brings educational equality for the 72 million kids globally with absolutely no access to an education. It is our hope that our students will graduate with tremendous opportunities as well as a sense of responsibility to the world around them. We hope to empower and inspire curiosity and a love of learning and innovation for every student.
