• $1.5 million anti-theft grant for Washington County businesses brings ‘added sense of security' (koin.com) — A Beaverton pet store on Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway just upgraded its security with about $75,000 from a new $1.5 million state anti-theft grant awarded to Washington County. Dozens of local businesses are sharing in the funding as the district attorney’s office ramps up enforcement against shoplifting and organized retail theft, with more grant money already secured for 2026.
