Woman Struck By SUV While Crossing Pacific Highway In King City
The 25-year-old woman sustained critical, life-threatening injuries, police said. The SUV driver is cooperating with the investigation.

KING CITY, OR — A woman who was trying to cross Pacific Highway in King City Tuesday night was struck by a southbound SUV near the Avalon Park Apartments. The woman sustained critical, life-threatening injuries, police said. No arrests have been made.
The injured woman, a 25-year-old, was reportedly crossing Pacific Highway around 10 p.m. July 10 when a gray Ford Explorer hit her. The Ford driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, Washington County Sheriff's officials said, noting that neither speed nor impairment are being considered factors in the crash.
Pacific Highway was reportedly closed for about three hours while law enforcement investigated the scene.

The crash Tuesday night is the second pedestrian versus car collision to occur in that same spot in the past year.
On July 30, 2017, 36-year-old Tualatin resident Nathaniel Franciosi was struck by a Chevrolet Suburban after it was hit by a Chevrolet Cruz driven by 58-year-old Michelle Marie McMillan of Tigard — who was later arrested on manslaughter and driving while drunk charges.

Franciosi later died from his injuries.
