Gresham Residents Invited to 'Just Eat It', Learn About Food Waste

A free Gresham event this Thursday will explore food waste and food rescue.

Gresham residents are invited this week to a free screening of an award-winning film that explores where food is going.

"Just Eat It" is a 74-minute documentary about food waste and food rescue by Peg Leg Films in partnership with British Columbia's Knowledge Network, according to its website.

The family-friendly production has been hailed by critics as "hugely entertaining," leading local officials to spotlight it this coming Thursday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m. in the Mt. Hood Community College Visual Arts Theater, 26000 SE Stark St. A short discussion, giveaways and prizes will follow the showing.
