• Health issues delay investigation into Portland-area lawmaker's conduct (chronline.com) — Gresham residents’ state senator, Chris Gorsek, is recovering from an August stroke while still serving on multiple legislative committees, even as an investigation into his conduct has been repeatedly delayed for health reasons. The probe stems from a June transportation committee meeting where he sharply rebuked a Republican colleague, raising questions about workplace conduct and leadership decisions in Salem that affect his district.
   

• Intoxicated driver arrested after crash in Troutdale (theoutlookonline.com) — Gresham Police helped Multnomah County deputies stop an allegedly intoxicated driver who fled a traffic stop and later crashed into another car near Southeast Stark Street and Southwest 257th Drive in Troutdale. No serious injuries were reported, but the 27-year-old suspect faces multiple charges after deputies reportedly found drugs in his vehicle and discovered an outstanding warrant.
   

• Stolen Vehicle Operations Cut Car Theft, Win Awards (portlandobserver.com) — Gresham Police are part of a regional stolen vehicle task force that helped make 75 arrests, recover 69 stolen cars, and seize 11 illegal guns across Portland and the metro area this year. The collaborative effort, which just earned a major international policing award, is credited with driving down car thefts while strengthening ties between agencies and community groups like PDX Stolen Cars.
