GRESHAM, OR — After a two-year, pandemic-induced absence, Summer Kids in the Park (SKIP) returns to Gresham starting Monday, the city announced. The program provides free lunches and activities such as tag, soccer and arts and crafts every weekday through Aug. 12 for kids up to 18 years old

The program, which is run by Gresham with the YMCA and Play Grown Learn, is free and does not require reservations, according to the city.

"The opportunity for this type of in-person engagement and recreation is something the pandemic robbed us of," Gresham Parks and Recreation Manager Joe Walsh said."We're glad to finally be able to provide these opportunities that youth need back to our community."
