• Gresham showcases newly updated Gradin Sports Park (theoutlookonline.com) — Gresham has finished Phase 2 of its long-planned Gradin Community Sports Park upgrade, adding new softball and soccer fields, pickleball courts, restrooms, a playground, dog parks, and a fully paved walking loop. Funded largely through grants rather than new taxes, the park now uses an online reservation system and may introduce paid pickleball reservations, with more lighting and amenities planned as funding allows.
   

• 2-alarm fire engulfs SE Portland fourplex after ‘catastrophic' explosion (chronline.com) — Gresham firefighters were among nearly 80 responders called to a devastating two-alarm fire after a “catastrophic” explosion tore through a Southeast Portland fourplex on Sunday morning. One person jumped from an elevated platform to escape, was hospitalized in stable condition, and investigators are now probing the cause with a criminal search warrant and drone due to unsafe conditions inside.
