Former School Staff Sent Dirty Pics To Student, Court Docs Show

GRESHAM, OR β The former Centennial High School staff member who was accused of inappropriate contact with a male student last month has been indicted by a Multnomah County court on two charges of luring a minor.
Vancouver resident Kecia Jean Weaver, 31, was arrested, booked, and released by law enforcement authorities Feb. 23, one week after the school publicly announced the investigation into her alleged contact with an underage boy.
The contact, which reportedly included sexually explicit photos, occurred between September 2014 and June 2015, and then again between December 2016 and January 2017, according to court documents.

The Gresham Police Department on Feb. 15 announced it was investigating the allegations brought to the school district's attention Feb. 9.
Weaver was reportedly placed on leave the day administrators learned of the accusation; she resigned from her office position with Centennial a week later.

"The safety of our students is our top priority and we take these types of accusations very seriously," Centennial officials said in their Feb. 15 announcement. "We appreciate the student who reported this matter to us and would ask that you encourage your student to always let a teacher, our school resource officer or another trusted adult know if they have been the subject of, or are aware of any inappropriate contact via social media or in person. If you or your student has any additional information about this situation, please contact the Gresham Police Department."
Investigators are still interested in speaking with any student who may have experienced inappropriate contact with any district employee, Gresham police said, "regardless of their position or employment."
