4 Adults Displaced By House Fire Monday Night

The fire in the 6000-block of SE Ariel Street was contained quickly and kept mostly outside by Hillsboro and TVF&R fire crews.

HILLSBORO, OR — Four adults were displaced following a residential fire in Hillsboro late Monday, according to Hillsboro Fire Department officials.

Firefighters were dispatched to the 6000-block of Southeast Ariel Street just after 9:30 p.m. Feb. 19. A woman who lives at the home reportedly called 911 after seeing smoke and evacuating the premises. Officials said she was the only person home at the time.

When fire crews arrived to the property, they reportedly found the rear exterior engulfed in flame.

Fire personnel from Hillsboro got control of the fire quickly with the help of fire crews from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, officials said, noting that while the fire was mostly outside the home, smoke caused some damage inside.

A neighbor reportedly complained of breathing difficulty and was treated for smoke inhalation by first responders at the scene.
