• Young people in Oregon raise money to find treatments for childhood cancer (kgw.com) — From right here in Hillsboro’s Silicon Forest, local teens are helping drive research into better treatments for childhood cancer through the Children’s Cancer Therapy Development Institute. Junior Board members from area high schools organize bake sales and other fundraisers that directly support high-risk pilot studies and even supercomputer-powered drug design collaborations, and they’re inviting more young people to get involved.
