Fatal House Fire In Tanasbourne Thursday
One woman was found dead in a home that caught fire off NW Walker Road Thursday afternoon. Investigators are working to determine a cause.

HILLSBORO, OR — A woman was killed in a residential fire Thursday afternoon in the Tanasbourne area of Hillsboro, according to the Hillsboro Fire Department.
Shortly after 3 p.m. June 7, firefighters from Hillsboro and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue were dispatched to a home in the 19000-block of Northwest Walker Road.
When firefighters arrived, they found flames and smoke pouring from the south and east-side of the two-story residence, officials said. During the ensuing battle, firefighters discovered the body of a woman who presumably lived at the home.

It took 32 firefighters from two agencies only 40 minutes to get control of the blaze, officials said, noting no other injuries were reported.
Fire investigators from both the Hillsboro police and fire departments are working to determine what caused the deadly fire.
