HILLSBORO, OR — Portland was always a favorite punching bag for the Trump Administration. That was especially true during last year's presidential election when daily protests often had an element of violence, sometimes provoked by federal officers sent by the administration.

The punching is expected to continue Saturday night when Mike Pence comes to town.

The former vice president will be the featured speaker at the Washington County Republican Party's annual Reagan dinner. He's expected to point to Portland as a failed city under Democratic officials.
