Fred Meyer Stabbing Suspect Arrested In Hillsboro Wednesday

Samuel Lund was on the run for nearly a week before he was turned in by an anonymous tip to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

HILLSBORO, OR — A man wanted in connection with a stabbing incident at the Cornelius Fred Meyer last Friday was arrested in Hillsboro this week thanks to an anonymous tip, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Samuel Christian Jones Lund, 29, was taken to the Washington County Jail following his arrest Wednesday. He is charged with attempted murder, assault, and possession of methamphetamine, along with a probation violation.

Lund was reportedly found March 14 at a residence in the 100-block of Southeast 26th Avenue in Hillsboro — almost a week after he allegedly stabbed a 33-year-old man multiple times outside the Garden Center at the Cornelius Fred Meyer, 2200 Baseline St.
