Man arrested, charged with robbing Redmond cafe at gunpoint (bendbulletin.com) — Redmond police have arrested a 54-year-old man suspected in the Halloween gunpoint robbery of Sassy’s Cafe in downtown Redmond, as well as a prior theft at the local Walmart. The arrest at Crooked River Ranch followed a multi-agency investigation involving several Central Oregon law enforcement partners.
   

2. Bend Police seeks public's help to find 17-year-old out of contact with family (centraloregondaily.com) — Police are asking Redmond-area residents to help locate a 17-year-old who was last known to be living and working in Redmond and hasn’t been in touch with family for about a month. Anyone who may have seen him, especially around local landscaping jobs, is urged to call nonemergency dispatch.
   

3. Oregon man trying to track down story behind belt buckle (kfyrtv.com) — From right here in Redmond, an Oregon man is trying to solve the decades-old mystery of a thrift-store belt buckle engraved with “Lehr, North Dakota,” initials, and a possible Social Security number. He’s now asking North Dakotans for help so he can return the keepsake to its original owner or family and finally learn how it ended up in Oregon.
   

4. Redmond man allegedly steals front loader from construction site, uses it to ram a family member's SUV (ktvz.com) — Deputies responded west of Redmond after a caller reported a family member using a stolen front loader to ram their SUV, leading to a safe traffic stop and arrest. A Redmond man faces felony charges, the expensive equipment was recovered with minimal damage, and no serious injuries were reported.
   

5. Hospice of Redmond rebrands, to launch in-home care in March (redmondspokesman.com) — A longtime Redmond-based hospice provider has rebranded as ClearPath Healthcare and plans to launch membership-based in-home primary care across Central Oregon in March 2026. The nonprofit aims to help seniors and homebound patients who struggle to reach clinics, offering longer visits, proactive care, and support from Bend to Madras and Prineville to Camp Sherman.
