Abington to be Sprayed for West Nile Virus Control
Mosquitoes carrying West Nile Virus have been found in the Abington area.

ABINGTON, PA -- Sections of Abington will be sprayed with chemicals to combat mosquito populations and limit the spread of West Nile Virus, according to the Montgomery County Health Department.
In coordination with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) and Abington
Township officials, the Health Department will conduct the sprays on Thursday, August 25.

The spraying will be done where sampling by the Health Department and PADEP has shown mosquitoes that carry the West Nile Virus.
The spraying will last from 8:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

The alternate date will be Thursday, September 1, 2016.
