Abington Closing, Suspending Collections For Christmas, New Year's Day
Trash, recycling, and yard debris will not be collected on Christmas and New Year's Day. Leaf collection will resume Tuesday, however.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — With Christmas and the New Year coming up, Abington Township is changing some of its routines.
The township offices are closing at 3 p.m. Friday.
Offices will also be closed Monday in observance of Christmas. There will be no trash, recycling, or yard debris collections.

The final round of leaf collection will begin on Tuesday, with areas F and M. Areas N and O will have leaf collection Wednesday, areas J and K Thursday, and L Friday.
Leaves should be set out by 7 a.m. on respective collection days. Any leaves put to the curb after this last collection will have to be bagged in brown biodegradable bags and placed curbside for pickup on your trash day. Inclement weather may impact date of collection.

Then on Dec. 29, the township offices will close at 3 p.m.
Offices will be closed again on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024 in observance of New Year's Day. Trash, recycling, or yard debris collections are suspended on Jan. 1, 2024.
