Abington Police Organizations Dole out the Scholarships
Eleven students receive scholarships this year
Each year, three Abington Township Police Department organizations present scholarships to Abington students.
This year, those organizations — Citizens and Police Together (CAPT), Abington Township Police Association (ATPA), and Abington Town Watch Council — presented 11 scholarships totaling $5,700 to graduating seniors.

The Abington Township Police Association presented two $750 scholarships. These scholarships are given to graduating seniors who plan to continue their education and training in order to seek a job in the field of criminal justice. Those recipients are:
- Matthew Lowry
- Tyray Moss
The Citizens and Police Together organization awarded eight $500 scholarships to students who have participated in past CAPT events and who have a history of community service. Those students are:

- Dominique Durham
And the Abington Town Watch Council presented a $200 scholarship to Timothy Gogel, who plans to pursue studies in the area of law enforcement.
