New Year's Eve Celebrations Planned For Philly Area

PHILADELPHIA, PA — It's time to pour the champagne, click the glasses, count down the remaining seconds, and welcome 2026.

It goes with the old song: "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?"

And in the Philadelphia region, there are plenty of activities if you want to go out and celebrate instead of staying home to watch the ball drop in Times Square.

If you want to celebrate earlier in the day on Wednesday, there are plenty of kid-friendly events to celebrate the new year.

Here are some of the New Year's Eve celebrations planned in the Philadelphia region:

Sesame Place Philadelphia (Middletown Township)

Sesame Place Philadelphia, home of everyone’s favorite furry Sesame Street characters, will hold its “C...is for Celebrate!” New Year’s Eve Fireworks at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Middletown Township amusement park.

Park hours are from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, with New Year’s Eve Sweet Treats experiences starting at 5:10 p.m.

First-Ever "Hat Drop" Celebration Planned in Hatboro (Hatboro Borough)

It's the first-ever "Hat Drop" on Wednesday afternoon in the York Road business district as Hatboro joins other communities in the Commonwealth that offer unique celebrations such as the Peeps Drop in Bethlehem.

New Year’s Eve Party at Steam Pub (606 Second St. Pike, Southampton)

The Steam Pub is hosting its annual New Year’s Party featuring a premium open bar, music by DJ Jackstar, an appetizer buffet, and a midnight champagne toast. The party is from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Click here for tickets.

New Year's Eve Festivities Feature Fireworks In Philadelphia

Philadelphia's New Year's Eve offers waterfront fireworks at Penn's Landing (with free viewing spots like Race Street Pier, Penn's Landing, and ticketed options at RiverRink Winterfest), family-friendly "Noon Year's" events (Franklin Square, Please Touch Museum, Smith Memorial Playground), live music/shows (Kimmel Center, City Winery, FringeArts), and numerous parties/gala events across the city, from yacht cruises to themed bashes, ensuring options for everyone to ring in the New Year.

New Year’s Eve Gala at Washington Crossing Inn

The Washington Crossing Inn will host its annual New Year’s Eve Gala, featuring a gourmet buffet, open bar, live entertainment by the After Dark Band, and a midnight champagne toast. Kid-Friendly NYE Countdown at Warminster Library

The Warminster Library is hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration for children with an interactive storytime leading up to the big countdown at noon Tuesday and a colorful parade throughout the library. The event is designed for children up to age 5 and their caregivers. Participants are asked to register online. The Warminster Library is on 1076 Emma Lane in Warminster.
