Sometimes you forget about things on 4/20

 

Simple assault and public drunkenness … Harry Lloyd Wolfgang, 41, of North Hills Avenue, Glenside, was arrested April 21 at 6:50 p.m. after he struck the complainant twice in the side of the head with a closed fist at his residence, police said. According to police, Wolfgang then fled. He was found walking along Mt. Carmel Avenue near Tennis Avenue heavily intoxicated.

Possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia … Gregory Lewis Briton, 37, of Edgehill Road, Abington, was arrested April 20 at 1:14 a.m. on Edgehill Road after he was seen walking northbound near the Hamilton Avenue, police said. According to police, Briton said he was walking home from Kitchen Bar. Police asked permission to search Briton; they found a tin foil pipe with suspected burnt marijuana residue. Briton said he like to smoke marijuana when he drinks and said he forgot that the pipe was still in his pocket.

Possession of a small amount of marijuana … Michael Bryan Cannon, 29, of Borbeck Street, Rockledge, was arrested April 14 at 12:10 a.m. at a DUI checkpoint on Huntingdon Pike near Huntingdon Valley Shopping Center after police saw a small amount of marijuana and a pipe in plain view on his rear seat, police said. According to police, Borbeck admitted that the items were his. The marijuana was field-tested with positive results. 

DUI … James Belinski, 53, of Cedar Road, Jenkintown, was arrested April 13 at 11:39 p.m. following a traffic stop for making an unsafe U-Turn on Huntingdon Pike near a DUI checkpoint near Huntingdon Valley Shopping Center, police said. According to police, Belinski smelled of alcohol, had watery eyes and a staggered gait. Belinski said he had three or four beers. When asked when he had his last beer, Belinski said, “right now.” His blood alcohol content was 0.188 percent.

DUI … John McIntyre, 71, of Washington Lane, Rydal, was arrested April 13 at 11:09 p.m. at a DUI checkpoint on Huntingdon Pike near Huntingdon Valley Shopping Center, police said. According to police, McIntyre only put his window down about two inches at the checkpoint and said, “I’m OK.” McIntyre smelled of alcohol, said he had one glass of wine and swayed when he exited his vehicle. He had a blood alcohol content of 0.125 percent.

DUI … Adam Charles Erickson, 26, of Greenbriar Road, Elkins Park, was arrested April 3 at 1:48 a.m. following a traffic stop for blowing a stop sign at Susquehanna Road while driving southbound on Old York Road, police said. According to police, Erickson smelled of alcohol, had glassy and bloodshot eyes and smelled of marijuana. He said he had three beers, failed three field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of 0.152 percent. His blood also tested positive for the presence of Delta-9 THC.

DUI and reckless driving … Miguel Cabrera, 32, of West County Line Road, Hatboro, was arrested April 1 at 2:38 a.m. following a traffic stop for veering over multiple lanes and for crossing the double yellow lines while driving northbound on Old York Road near Washington Lane, police said. According to police, Cabrera also suddenly stopped on Old York Road near Madeira Avenue, causing the vehicle behind him to swerve out of the way. Cabrera had glassy eyes, and slurred speech. He mumbled with his mouth partially closed. He said he had “one beer and one shot.” He failed a field sobriety test and had a blood alcohol content of 0.160 percent, police said. 

DUI … Robert Evans, 68, of Lindsay Lane, Jenkintown, was arrested March 31 at 10:09 p.m. following a traffic stop for a malfunctioning brake light and for having an expired registration sticker near the corner of Washington Lane and Greenwood Avenue, police said. According to police, Evans smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and had slurred speech. He said he had “a few.” He also smelled of marijuana. Evans failed a field sobriety test and his blood tested positive for the presence of marijuana, police said.

Drug possession … Lamar McFarland, 28, of West Carey Street, Philadelphia, was arrested March 21 at 12:15 p.m. following a traffic stop for having a malfunctioning brake light near the corner of Washington Lane and Frog Hollow Road, police said. According to police, McFarland had bloodshot eyes, was slow with his responses and his car smelled of marijuana. Following a search, police found two blunts in his ashtray, and a black velvet bag in the pocket of a pair of jeans in the back seat; the velvet bag contained three clear containers of confirmed marijuana. There were also four round, white pills inscribed “Endo 602” wrapped in a napkin; the pills tested positive for oxycodone and acetaminophen, police said.

DUI and underage drinking … Yonatan Alejandro Santos, 18, of Arbor Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Feb. 10 at 10:46 p.m. following a traffic stop for speeding and for blowing a stop sign in the corner of Susquehanna Road and Washington Lane, police said. According to police, Santos was driving 60 mph in a 35 mph zone. There was a strong smell of marijuana emanating from Santos’ vehicle. Santos said he had smoked marijuana earlier in the day and said he had several beers. His blood alcohol content was 0.99 percent.
