Abington Resident Takes Travel to the Next Level with CTA Designation

Abington, PA… Travel planning was always Abington resident Mark Rake’s passion. Now, a new certification has taken his expertise to the next level. Rake, a Travel Advisor with the Warminster office of AAA, has earned the esteemed Certified Travel Associate (CTA) designation from The Travel Institute, a nonprofit organization which is the gold standard source for travel industry education and certification.

Achieving the CTA designation means “a commitment to upholding the highest standards in the role of travel advisor,” according to The Travel Institute.

Successful completion of the CTA curriculum requires in-depth proctored testing in a closed-book environment, a minimum 12 months’ industry experience, and fulfillment of 10 continuing education units per year for certification and professional development.

Rake, an Abington resident, enjoys creating one-of-kind travel opportunities for honeymooners, families, solo travelers and groups. Most recently, he has partnered with Bucks County cooking School Conquering, to plan a 24-person trip to Italy for food enthusiasts.
