A Vehicle Driving Through Cheltenham Township Was Fired Upon On Saturday

Cheltenham Police say someone fired multiple shots at a vehicle this past Saturday afternoon. The suspects remain at large.

CHELTENHAM, PA — Local police are continuing to search for suspects who fired multiple gunshots at a vehicle driving through the community this past weekend.

According to Cheltenham Township Police, the occupants of a dark-colored Ford Taurus fired multiple shots at a white Jeep Compass that was being driven northbound on Ogontz Avenue this past Saturday around 4:42 p.m.

One of the occupants of the Jeep was struck by the gunfire, and was taken to Abington Hospital in serious condition, although the individual is expected to survive.

Police located the Ford Taurus a short time later and officers took three of the occupants into custody. A fourth suspect, however, remains on the loose and police are asking for the public's help in locating the person.

Multiple firearms were recovered during the vehicle stop.

Police did not release the names of the other three individuals, nor did police offer any information about a possible motive behind the incident.
