Congregation Kol Ami to host ADL Signature Synagogue Program
Rising Levels of Antisemitism in The U.S.

Congregation Kol Ami of Elkins Park will host Robin Burstein, Deputy Director, ADL Philadelphia, for a presentation titled, Rising Levels of Antisemitism in The U.S. on March 24, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. The presentation is part of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Signature Synagogue Program and will be both an in-person and streamed event. The presentation is open to the public and is free to attend. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts.
Burstein will discuss the following topics:
- Recent statistics showing increased levels of antisemitism.
- Jonathan Greenblatt’s book It Could Happen Here (Greenblatt is the National Director of ADL).
- How to respond when encountering antisemitism.
Burstein has been the ADL Deputy Director since 2021 and has been with the organization since 2018. Burstein is involved in management, regional operations, fund
raising, and educational programs. She is the staff liaison to the Outreach and Civil Rights committees and the Black-Jewish Alliance. Throughout her career, Burstein has worked in nonprofit and for-profit organizations and has served on various boards.
“We are very pleased to have Robin give this presentation as a part of the Signature Synagogue Program,” said Rabbi Leah Berkowitz. “Knowledge is power and this program will empower participants to help combat antisemitism.”
