Electronics Collection Event In Abington Feb 25

Residents can safely dispose of laptops, cell phones, printers, and more at the Feb. 25 event in Abington Township.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Abington Township residents can soon recycle "anything with a plug."

The township is hosting an electronics collection event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Public Works Yard.

  • laptops
  • computers
  • peripherals
  • mice
  • typewriters
  • printers
  • telephones
  • small appliances
  • microwaves
  • fax machines
  • cell phones
  • calculators

TVs and computer monitors require a $30.

Wooden console and rear-projection TVs have a $100 fee.

Items not accepted are:

  • batteries
  • lightbulbs
  • dehumidifiers
  • smoke detectors
  • portable air conditioner units
  • large appliances

Registration is not required but is suggested.

Additionally, the Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) will be collecting food items on site for the local food pantry.

The Public Works Yard is located at 2201 Florey Lane.
