GLENSIDE, PA — The Independence Day parade is coming, and the organization that puts on the annual event just got a boost to help pay for it.

State Rep. Ben Sanchez presented the Greater Glenside Patriotic Association with a ceremonial $50,000 check, commemorating the grant that will help fund the parade.

"Securing this funding is a major win for our community. This grant means that our cherished Fourth of July events, which bring us together to honor service and celebrate our nation, will continue to thrive," Sanchez said. “It’s my honor to bring this funding home and do my part to preserve our community’s meaningful traditions.”
